1Gerringong Cemetery
Perched on a steep slope with sweeping views over Gerringong Boat Harbour and the ocean, this cemetery received its first burial, Evan Campbell, in 1864. It holds a Commonwealth War Graves Commission casualty and family names woven through the district: Miller, Sharpe, Campbell, Quinn and Weir.

This coastal strand takes its name from the Dharawal word Ouiree, or Ooaree, meaning the creek that enters the beach on its northern side. Set on the Tasman Sea coast in the Illawarra region, it lies south of Kiama and immediately north of Gerringong.
